Bail bonds men are professionals who secure one' release after arrest
These are the people who offer the services of bond provision as
they are allowed by the law to do so and they act for or on behalf of
the court. Bail bonds men, must be trustworthy, people who can do
business discreetly because talk may damage a person' reputation.
Normally, bail bonds men will ask for a 10% of the total amount for
bail that one is granted by the court. They keep this whether or not
an arrestee appears in court for judicial clearance of his case. Bail
bonds men are in the know of all the legalities of the law concerning
bonds and bails and as well as acting on the behalf of the client;
they advise one on the steps to follow so that the judicial system can
clear him up.
They offer their services on a 24 hour day basis, all days in all
the state. Bail bonds men are educated in law and they apply for a
license to practice in their respective states. To get licensed, they
must sit for an exam and have to score a mandatory 70% of the total
mark, failure to which another exam would have to be rescheduled for
them. However, the above requirements may vary a little depending on
the state that one is going to practice in. Usually a bail bonds man
will make his money when he goes to secure the release of a client
from the court in the promise that the accused will appear on the
court at a predetermined date failure to which a bail bondsman will
have to pay the overall bond amount to the court in question.
The bail bondsman keeps 10% of the total amount. So it' up to
him/her to make sure that he collects the full bail amount from the
client or arrange for the client to pay back in terms of interest
financing where the interest rate may hike up to 12%.
When the whole amount of the bail money is paid up to the court and
the arrestee does not avail himself for judicial proceedings, the bail
bondsman still keeps his 10 % service charge fee. Even if the arrestee
is found not guilty, this fee is still non refundable. According to
the number of clients that one bails out of court on any given period
of time, the 10% up front payment can translate to a lot of money for
the bail bondsman. Today, it has become a lucrative career, but the
best thing about is that you get to help people when they are in
need.
